Missed my heat,

not surprised, the organisation was, to be honest, terrible. The board wasn't being updated atall, they kept changing the heats around without telling anyone, a bit of a disaster if you ask me.

WSJ, home education is wasted on you ... heats were as listed, sequence was as listed, TOP FLIGHT weren't paying attention and half of the Heat 1 top flight went off with Heat 10 Junior techno racers, and some were overtaken by the juniors .... that's what caused the chaos .. HEAT NUMBERS were on the start boat and followed the sequence ... even I saw it with my dodgy eyesight ...

The only chaos I endured was the carnage at the marks where I got taken out 3 times ... first heat dropping me from 2nd to last as someone came around and across 3 of us and took us all out (there was no room at the mark so WHY dive in full speed ?) and then in my subsequent 'plate final' from 2nd again my mate Torpedo mowed me down on his formula board ... by then I guess I didn't give a sh*t, but then he got me again as I caught him up and was sneaking downwind of him ... dirty tactics, glad I'd worn the helmet to keep my head warm

Weather was frustrating, but guess we weren't alone ... and whatever the results show in the end, I finished ahead of Duncan ... got 22knots max speed on the GPS again, with winds 8-12 knots should be pleased with that, however I'm getting a little stuck at the 22 knot mark with the Hyper-X 130 & 8.5m V8 ... time to stick it on the dash of the car to see if it actually register over 22 knots at all

It was great to see over 60 competitors at such an early season event , but was a crying shame the forecasts didn't turn into real world weather .... Marazion will be better on that front (and warmer !), hopefully ...

ps .. Duncan, spray on factor 50 on offer at Tesco's, buy one get one free ...
